Fiat vans we cover
Send the registration and we'll check exactly which ignition your van carries before saying anything definite.
About Fiat ignitions
The Ducato underpins plenty of motorhomes as well as standard panel vans. Whatever's built on top, the ignition remains that of the base vehicle.
For the smaller Fiorino and Doblò, if the ignition is sticking, feels loose, or has a key broken inside it, send the registration and a quick description to get us started.
Ignition options for Fiat vans
- Mechanical ignition barrel repair or replacement — Suited to vans with a traditional turn-key ignition where the barrel has become worn, sticky, seized or physically damaged.
- Electrical ignition switch replacement — Covers the switch sitting behind the barrel, which can fail independently so the key turns but the electrics don't react properly.
- Electronic ignition (EIS) work — Applies to vans running an electronic ignition unit instead of a plain mechanical barrel, including certain push-button setups.
- Broken key extraction from the ignition — Getting a snapped blade safely out of the ignition first, without further damage, ahead of cutting a replacement key.
Hanging on to your existing key is often possible, depending on the van and what's failed. If a fresh key or reprogramming turns out to be necessary, you'll hear it from us first.

Fiat ignition questions
Mine is a Ducato-based motorhome — will you come out to it?
Yes, as long as the vehicle and the job suit mobile work. We attend Ducato motorhomes at home or on site and confirm that before booking a visit. Habitation door locks are a separate matter from the ignition.
The ignition on my Fiorino feels loose — is that something to worry about?
A loose or wobbly ignition is worth getting checked, since it can deteriorate further and leave you unable to start the van or remove the key.
